Robert C. Byrd Varsity Flying Eagles couldn't keep up with Lewis County Minutemen Varsity and fell 11-1 on Monday.
Lewis County Minutemen Varsity got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Luke Davisson walked, and Ryder Aman singled, each scoring one run.
Grant Mealey hit a grand slam to left field in the bottom of the second for the Lewis County Minutemen Varsity.
A single by Mealey, and a double by Trenton Hunt helped Lewis County Minutemen Varsity extend their early lead in the third.
Brayden Carder earned the win for Lewis County Minutemen Varsity. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and one run over six innings, striking out four and walking two. Rylan Rock took the loss for Robert C. Byrd Varsity Flying Eagles. The starting pitcher went one inning, allowing six runs on seven hits, striking out two and walking two.
