RCB with a 3-1 win in their home opener against Nicholas County. Mckenna Lucas got the scoring started with a header to give Byrd a 1-0 lead. Nicholas quickly evened the scored when Lucas committed a penalty in the box and the score was tied 1-1. Brookelynn Washington and Corrine Vilain scored goals that increased the RCB ladies' lead to 3-1 at halftime. Kendall Sturm kept Nicholas County off the board in the second half as she added a number of key stops.
